G. Eric Long
Attorney G. Eric Long was born and raised in Benton, Kentucky. He grew up watching his father practice law in their community. So it was only natural that after college and law school, he returned to his native Western Kentucky to take up the practice of law in the community in which he grew up.
While in law school, Eric had the privilege of serving as extern law clerk to former Kentucky Supreme Court Justice Bill Cunningham, which gave him both a deeper knowledge of Kentucky law and invaluable experience in legal research and writing. When he returned to the Benton area to practice, this background served him well in representing his clients.
For over a decade, Eric has represented clients in Western Kentucky in real estate, estate planning, probate, and business matters. For several years, he also served part-time as an Assistant Commonwealth Attorney to the 42nd Judicial Circuit. As a result, he has extensive experience in both legal transactions and courtroom practice.
Eric enjoys having the opportunity to work with his clients on legal matters that make a difference for their families' well-being and financial security. Clients appreciate that he is candid and straightforward when discussing their legal issues, that he explains things clearly, and that he doesn't try to sell them services they do not need. One client described Eric as "as fair and honest an attorney as you're likely to find in the area."
When not practicing law, Eric enjoys spending time outdoors and relaxing with his wife, two children, and their rescue dog Cali.
